Install Vibe Vote

Vibe Vote lives in your editor and watches the dead air while Claude Code or Codex works. Install it once: it runs in VS Code, Cursor, and your terminal.

Add to VS CodeAdd to Cursor (Open VSX)

Or from a terminal: code --install-extension vibevote.vibe-vote

Running Claude Code or Codex in a plain terminal?

The editor extension only shows up inside VS Code / Cursor. For a raw terminal, play in a split pane with the CLI, and the Claude Code plugin makes it appear only while your agent is working.

# add the plugin (Claude Code)
/plugin marketplace add zackwhitaker51/vibevote-plugin
/plugin install vibevote@vibevote
# then, in a split terminal pane
npx vibevote

No plugin? npx vibevote --solo plays anytime.

Install, step by step

Exactly what to do, by surface. Install, sign in, grant the minimal Google permission, and you're set.

VS Code · how to enable

How it plays

  1. Your agent gets to work. While Claude or Codex is thinking, a vote appears in your status bar.
  2. Cast your vote. One tap: A or B. It never blocks you, no modals, no notifications, no sound.
  3. See how the crowd reacts. The split reveals instantly, are you with the majority or holding a rare take on the spiciest debate?
  4. Build your streak. Earn XP every vote, climb levels, and track how in tune you are with other vibe coders.
